I can’t decribe how beautiful the time in Barcelona was. Sadly it was passing by way too fast and I’m now back home in Austria.
Before my trip I wasn’t sure if I should choose Barcelona – but now, I’m GLAD I did!
On Monday after class we had a walking tour with our two teachers Fabio and Jose trough the beautiful city.
I really loved the school inside, but my favourite part of the school was definitely the balcony!
As a beginner in Spanish, it was a bit hard on the first day to follow the teachers because I didn’t always understand what everyone was talking about. On the third day, I slowly started to understand a bit. The teachers were really nice to all students, if I didn’t get something, they explained to me until I understood.
The fourth day was an Olympic day at our school since EF is the Official Language Training supplier of the RIO 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We had class till 11:40 – afterwards we all went together to the beach.
The 24th of June was a local holiday. The Sant Joan festival has many names, but in Catalonia and Barcelona,
it is most often called the “Nit de Sant Joan” which means St John’s Night or St. John’s Eve. The festival celebrates the birth of St.John during the evening and the night of 23rd June every year.
You might think I’m done with the article about my week in Barcelona..well.. you were wrong! 😛 It continues…
